BOULDER—Police arrested a University of Colorado football player in connection with two assaults.

It’s the second time in as many days a CU football player was arrested for investigation of an assault.

Police say 21-year-old Riar Geer was booked into the Boulder county jail on suspicion of second-degree assault and harassment after a fight outside a party late yesterday. The CU tight end is accused of getting in a fight with 19-year-olds Hunter Wright and Alexander Williams.

Geer was suspended from the football team.

In a separate incident, 18-year-old CU football player Lynn Katoa surrendered to police yesterday on an assault charge stemming from a party on February 16th. The freshman linebacker was suspended from competition but can still practice.
