PUEBLO, Colo.—A lawyer who was disbarred over accusations that he took clients’ money without providing promised work faces 24 counts of felony theft over the same allegations.
Kirk Patterson Brown was disbarred in May. A phone number for Brown could not be found.
As of December, the Colorado Supreme Court Attorneys’ Fund for Client protection had reimbursed Brown’s former clients more than $226,000.
Brown was scheduled to appear in court April 28.
