LINCOLN, Neb.—A 21-year-old Indianapolis man has been arrested in Nebraska after the state patrol says he sold drugs to an off-duty investigator on an Amtrak train.

According to the patrol, an off-duty investigator was returning to Nebraska from Winter Park by train on Tuesday. He was serving as a sponsor for a senior ski trip.

A man identified as Matthew Hughes approached one of the students and offered him pills or marijuana.

The investigator approached Hughes and bought two hydrocodone pills from him, then arrested him. The train made a scheduled stop in McCook, where police officers took custody Hughes.

Hughes is charged with possession and delivery of pharmaceuticals, as well as possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
