A fire today at Colorado Transmission, an automobile repair shop resulted in one man being taken to the hospital for treatment of burns and smoke inhalation. The man’s identity was not released, and his condition and whether he was an employee of the shop is unknown.
About 30 firefighters from Littleton, Sheridan and Englewood responded to the call shortly before 3:30 p.m. and fought the blaze for about a 30 minutes. The business is in the 3900 block of South Lipan Street.
The brick building was heavily damaged and considered to be “a high-dollar loss” according to Detective Perry Schellpfeffer of the Englewood Police Department.
An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire, officials said.
