VAIL, Colo.—A 32-year-old man who died after an accident on an intermediate run on Vail Mountain is the 17th death reported after an accident at a Colorado ski area this season.

Vail Ski Resort didn’t provide details of the latest accident but said ski patrol provided advanced life support Saturday and took the man to an ambulance at the bottom of the mountain.

He was pronounced dead at the Vail Valley Medical Center.

The man’s name wasn’t immediately released. The resort says he was from the Denver area.

At least 20 people have died from skiing or snowboarding accidents in Colorado this season, including three who were in the backcountry.
