VIRGINIA DALE, Colo.—One person is dead after the semi-truck he was driving rolled over along U.S. Highway 287 near Virginia Dale and the Wyoming state line.
The crash occurred shortly before 6 a.m. Monday.
Authorities say the truck was carrying letters and packages for the U.S. Postal Service, and was fully loaded at the time of the crash.
The cab was crushed in the accident, and the driver was dead by the time rescue crews arrived on the scene.
Conditions in the area were snowy but it’s unclear what caused the crash.
The Colorado State Patrol is investigating.
