The Colorado attorney general’s office will ask for a rehearing Monday to contest the state Supreme Court’s order to release the entire indictment against Aaron Thompson, accused in the death of his daughter, 6-year-old Aarone.
The petition will be made on behalf of Arapahoe County District Judge Mark Hannen, who sealed the indictment last year, the office’s spokesman, Nate Strauch, said Friday.
Strauch said Colorado Attorney General John Suthers will issue his reason for the rehearing after the request is formally made Monday.
The Denver Post and The Associated Press filed a lawsuit last year asking the state Supreme Court to review the issue.
