The average domestic fare at Denver International Airport increased 5 percent to $326.53 in the fourth quarter of 2007 compared with a year earlier, Bureau of Transportation Statistics said.
Fares at DIA were still below average among the top 100 airports in the United States, though the increase in the average fares in Denver was greater than the national rate of 4 percent.
Nationally, average airfares in the fourth quarter of 2007 were still below the fourth-quarter high in 2000 but were at their highest levels for the quarter since 2001.
