COLORADO SPRINGS — A 26-year-old woman was killed inside her home Wednesday night in the presence of four children.
Pola Yesenia Valenzuela was strangled and shot during a “domestic disturbance” about 9 p.m. in her apartment in the 4800 block of Astrozon Blvd.
Anselmo Bonilla Barraza, 29, who lived with Valenzuela and the children at the home, has been arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder, police said.
The children — ages 9, 7, 6 and 9 months — were not physically harmed during the shooting, police said. They are now with their maternal grandmother.
