The roads around the Cherry Creek Shopping Center will be packed with runners this morning for the 26th Annual Cherry Creek Sneak, the set of races that kick off Colorado’s running season.
The first race along a 5-kilometer course starts at 8 a.m. and is expected to attract upward of 4,000 runners. Another estimated 4,500 racers are expected to run the 5-mile course starting at 9:15 a.m.
Sunshine and cool weather should aid racers along routes that include sections of University Boulevard, Cherry Creek Drive, Detroit and First, Second and Third avenues.
