AURORA — A young woman was assaulted and left in a field east of East 56th Avenue and E-470, where a passer-by found her early Saturday morning, Aurora police say.
The unnamed victim is recovering from her injuries at an undisclosed location.
Detectives have not yet identified a suspect, though they believe the woman met her assailant in Denver before being left in the field.
She flagged down a passing driver, who took her to Denver International Airport and contacted police there, according to police reports.
The Aurora Police Department is asking anyone with information about the case to call 303-739-6050.
