Sen. Jeff Bingaman, right, endorsed Barack Obama for president Monday, joining Gov. Bill Richardson to put another of New Mexico’s Democratic superdelegates in camp with the Illinois senator. Bingaman said he believes that Obama is a better choice on issues such as the Iraq war, health care and improving energy independence. In North Carolina, Gov. Mike Easley — a superdelegate — is expected to endorse Hillary Rodham Clinton today, a week before primaries in that state and Indiana.
