DENVER—Xcel Energy says it will consolidate its regional headquarters into a single energy-efficient Denver building by 2011.
The Minneapolis-based company said Wednesday it will lease about 330,000 square feet on up to 14 floors in a building at 1800 Larimer in downtown Denver.
The building will house both the regional headquarters and technical services, which are currently in two Denver buildings.
About a third of the company’s 3,900 Colorado employees will be based in the new building.
Xcel has about 1.3 million electricity customers and 1.2 million natural gas customers in Colorado.
