Travel by car, truck, bus or any other motorized vehicle will not be welcomed today at Cheesman Park during “Sunday in the Park.”
The non-event event is a collaboration: Denver’s Park and Recreation Department, Cheesman Park Advocacy Group and Councilwoman Jeanne Robb want visitors to the park to experience an emissions-free day.
Today is the first Sunday in the Park and the next will be Aug. 17. Cheesman Park visitors are encouraged to walk, rollerblade, bike or skateboard those days.
