Homicide detectives are investigating an early morning fatal shooting that happened on the 3100 block of West 14th Avenue, authorities say.
Police were called on a shooting in the parking lot of Avondale Shopping at 3:40 a.m. and found the body of a male, said Lt. Ronald Saunier, Denver police spokesman.
The victim, whose name has not been released pending notification of family members, was pronounced dead at the scene, Saunier said.
“We are asking that anyone with information about the shooting to please come forward,” he said.
Police have not yet identified any suspects in the shooting, Saunier said.
