FORT COLLINS, Colo.—Authorities identified a man killed in a shooting near Colorado State University as 27-year-old Matthew Quitmeyer.
Police found Quitmeyer with a gunshot wound to the chest Friday night in the parking lot of the Summit Hall apartment complex southwest of campus. Police say Quitmeyer lived in an adjacent apartment building.
Campus officials on Sunday said Quitmeyer attended CSU in the 2007 spring semester to study language, literature and culture, but stopped taking classes in the fall of that year.
Police have not identified a suspect.
