FORT LUPTON — A 21-year-old woman is dead after trains ran over her twice in Fort Lupton.

Police say Lily Peralez may have been lying on the tracks, and the trains didn’t see her.

Police found her body Sunday morning after a Union Pacific Railroad engineer called them to report debris on the tracks.

Police say she was wearing a shirt, jeans and flip-flops but had no identification.

Fort Lupton Police Chief Ron Grannis said investigators believe she was hit by a train going south and then by a train going north.

There was no evidence found on scene to indicate a struggle or foul play, Grannis said.

The Weld County coroner said Peralez suffered a broken neck and head trauma.
