YAKIMA, Wash.—Three workers who were burned in a flash fire at a natural gas test well in Eastern Washington are reported in satisfactory condition at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

A fourth man suffered a broken leg last week at the exploration well near Bickleton, in Klickitat County, and was treated at Kadlec Medical Center in Richland.

A contractor, DHS Drilling of Casper, Wyo., is drilling the well for Delta Petroleum of Denver.

While the state Department of Labor and Industries is investigating the fire, the company may continue drilling.

Delta has drilling interests on 508,000 acres in southeast Washington and northeast Oregon.
