MINNEAPOLIS—Independent presidential candidate Ralph Nader plans a rally in Minneapolis on the final day of the Republican National Convention.
Nader’s campaign says the rally will be a call to action for opening the presidential debates to candidates like him.
The rally is planned for the night of Sept. 4 at Orchestra Hall in downtown Minneapolis.
Nader, a longtime consumer advocate, is running with Matt Gonzalez, a former member of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors.
Nader ran on the Green Party ticket in 1996 and 2000, and as an independent in 2004.
The Republican National Convention will be held in St. Paul September 1st-4th.
The Nader campaign also plans a rally in Denver during the Democratic National Convention.
