The Democratic National Convention Committee and the campaign of Barack Obama announced Saturday that the convention this month in Denver will recognize the efforts of people of faith working in the community.
Each night of the convention will begin with an invocation and end with a benediction. Among those who will deliver the opening and closing prayers are Methodist Revs. Jin Ho Kang and Young Sook Kang of Aurora and Polly Baca of Greeley, a Catholic.
Also scheduled to speak at the convention are U.S. House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, House Democratic Caucus chairman Rahm Emanuel, House Majority Whip James Clyburn of South Carolina and Rep. Robert Wexler of Florida.
