GREELEY, Colo.—The Weld County District Attorney’s office is deciding whether to file charges against a man in the death of his 11-month-old boy who police say was electrocuted after grabbing a clock with exposed wires.
The district attorney will decide Tuesday whether charges are warranted against 23-year-old Ernesto Talavera-Nunez. Greeley police say they arrested Talavera-Nunez after finding inconsistencies in his statements about his baby’s death at his home last week.
Talavera-Nunez was jailed on suspicion of felony child abuse resulting in death and Immigration and Customs Enforcement were notified to review his immigration status.
