WASHINGTON—Louis Crayton had his second shutout in three matches and Joe Vide and Quavas Kirk scored their first career goals as D.C. United beat the Colorado Rapids 3-0 on Saturday night.

Colorado has only one victory in its last six matches and extended its road winless streak to seven. The Rapids haven’t won at RFK Stadium since 1999.

Vide scored in the 45th minute for United (10-10-1). Luciano Emilio tracked down a floating ball from Ivan Guerrero with his back to the goal just inside the box. He then chipped a pass to the charging Vide, who sent it to the right of goalkeeper Preston Burpo.

Emilio added another assist in the 82nd minute, when he found Santino Quaranta in the top right corner of the box for Quaranta’s third goal of the season. Kirk put back a rebound off Bryan Namoff’s header in the 87th minute.

Crayton, a Liberian acquired from Swiss club FC Basel on Aug. 15, made four saves against the Rapids (7-11-3) exactly one week after shutting out the Chicago Fire in his MLS debut.

Crayton stopped one of Colorado’s best chances just moments after Vide’s goal, when he tipped Nick LaBrocca’s open look from the middle of the box just over the crossbar.
