CHEYENNE — The former chief of the Laramie Police Department has sued the Laramie city manager in federal court, claiming he was fired this summer because he testified in a court case.
Former Chief Robert A. Deutsch’s lawsuit claims that Laramie City Manager Janine Jordan fired him because he filed a defamation lawsuit against a Laramie man and then testified in court during the trial.
Deutsch sued Laramie resident Tim Hale, claiming libel and slander this summer. Jordan and Laramie City Attorney David Clark were unavailable for comment.
