DENVER—Denver Public Schools announced some details of a tentative three-year pay agreement the school district reached with teachers.
A synopsis given to teachers over the weekend said teachers would get raises of 3 percent this school year. Each of the next two years they would get a cost-of-living raise plus 0.25 percent.
The district said Sunday that increased incentives of $2,345 would be paid to more teachers in hard-to-serve schools, hard-to-staff assignments, distinguished schools, high growth schools and teachers whose students exceed expectations.
The Denver Public Schools Board of Education and members of the Denver Classroom Teachers Association union must ratify the agreement before it takes effect.
