LINCOLN, Neb.—Nebraska defensive coordinator Carl Pelini says players are struggling with keeping their focus as the team has its first bye week.
Pelini says the players practiced hard Wednesday, but the mental aspect wasn’t great.
The defense must shift its attention to Virginia Tech’s more traditional offense after two weeks responding to a spread offense.
The Sept. 27 game against Virginia Tech will be broadcast on some ABC stations. The Cornhuskers return to the practice field Thursday.
