COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—A woman accused of taking part in the fatal parking lot stabbing of a teenage boy in Colorado Springs last month faces more charges.
Karin Atkinson was arrested Friday for investigation of first-degree murder and other charges and was being held without bail.
She was previously facing a charge of accessory to murder in the death of 18-year-old Nathaniel Hughes. He was killed outside an apartment complex on Aug. 20.
Details of what may have led to the stabbing have not been released.
Twenty-three-year-old Nathan Logsdon also faces a murder charge in the case.
Atkinson’s 15-year-old son has been arrested on an accessory to murder charge and will be prosecuted as a juvenile.
