COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—A man arrested in connection with the stabbing death of a Colorado Springs resident is due back in court next month to face criminal charges in the case.
Thirty-one-year-old Clifford Maurice Huery was advised by a judge Monday that he faces a first-degree murder charge in the Aug. 20 death of Nicholas Murphy.
Authorities say an altercation occurred outside Murphy’s home that involved several people, including Murphy and some of his family members.
Huery surrendered to police and was arrested on Friday.
He is scheduled to appear in court Oct. 3.
