WASHINGTON — A provision banning the Army from acquiring land to expand its Piñon Canyon training site could be headed for a year-long extension.
Language extending the moratorium was included in the House version of a bill that will be used to fund most government operations next year, Sen. Ken Salazar, a Colorado Democrat, said Wednesday. The House still needs to pass the resolution with the Piñon language, and it will have to survive the Senate.
