Whether you’re looking for a classic Denali jacket, Rucky Chucky trail running shoes or a Cryptic snowboarding jacket, The North Face store in Cherry Creek North is the new destination for outdoor Colorado clothes and accessories. The company has had a free-standing store in Boulder for years and is well-represented in such outposts as Sports Authority and Dick’s Sporting Goods, but 100 Detroit St. is now Denver’s very own North Face stomping grounds. With close to 4,000 square feet of selling space, the store features departments for men, women and children, shoes, backpacks, tents, luggage and such accessories as hats and gloves. The space opened with a VIP party last week with climber Heidi Wirtz and a benefit for Big City Mountaineers, which provides outdoor mentoring programs for at-risk youths.
