AURORA — A spokeswoman for Cherry Creek School District says classes at Grandview High School will be canceled today after a 21-year-old driver smashed his car through the school’s front doors and drove down the hallway.
It happened about 8 p.m. Sunday, 9News reported.
Aurora police said the driver was trying to kill himself. He received minor injuries. Police say he is at Parker Adventist Hospital on a mental-health hold. Police did not release his name.
The school will be closed as investigators assess the damage and danger to students and faculty.
