A 63-year-old Grand Junction man has been arrested for possession of child pornography, authorities say.

Michael J. Morrow was taken into custody Tuesday without incident, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, District of Colorado.

On Monday, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents executed a warrant at Morrow’s home and found numerous images of children engaging in sexually explicit acts on Morrow’s computer, federal officials said in a press release.

Morrow told investigators he had about 13,000 images of child pornography, ranging in age from toddlers to teens, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said.

If convicted of possession of child pornography, the defendant faces up to 10 years in federal prison and up to a $250,000 fine.

Morrow is scheduled to appear in court today in Mesa County to be advised of charges against him.
