The town of Vail has agreed to spend $550,000 to supplement winter marketing efforts for the ski season this year.
The Town Council decided this week based on the recommendation of the town’s economic-development manager, Kelli McDonald, and Chris Jarnot, chief operating officer for Vail Mountain, which is operated by Vail Resorts.
The two had recommended the town target Front Range guests and loyalists with multinight packages and implement other strategies and packages to lure destination guests.
