An Aurora man has pleaded guilty to tax evasion for failing to report fraudulently obtained money as income, according to court documents.
Michael Ewing, 55, is to be sentenced Jan. 29 in federal court. He faces up to 60 months in prison and a $250,000 fine.
Beginning in 2001, Ewing engaged in a practice of submitting “false, fraudulent, and fictitious check requests and expense reports seeking reimbursement” from his employer, Graebel Cos., according to a plea agreement between Ewing and federal prosecutors.
