A motorist with a revoked driver’s license rolled his vehicle in Eagle County after leading authorities on a high-speed chase through Avon.

The Eagle County Sheriff’s Office said Horacio Marquez, also known as Epifanio Larguero Castro, drove past a deputy going 66 mph in a 35 mph zone on U.S. 6 near Avon Road.

Marquez failed to pull over and continued driving eastbound on U.S. 6 at speeds above 85 mph, the Sheriff’s Office said in a news release Sunday. Marquez’s vehicle rolled and came to a stop. He was not seriously injured.

He was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, vehicular eluding, reckless driving, possession of cocaine and possessing a phony driver’s license.

He has three prior outstanding warrants for traffic offenses and a revoked license for alcohol offenses, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Marquez is being held at the Eagle County Jail, and bail was set at $15,000. Marquez, a Mexican national, also is being held on a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement detainer.
