Lakewood police tonight released a composite drawing of a suspect in an attempted child abduction.
Police spokesman Steve Davis said a couple driving a white, four-door sedan tried to abduct a young girl as she was playing outside with other girls on Saturday evening.
The driver of the car was described by the girls — ages 4, 7, and 9 — as an Hispanic male. A female was in the passenger seat.
The couple apparently approached the girls in the 1300 block of South Allison Street. The two older ones heard the youngest talking to someone and saw the driver trying to cajole her into the car, according to Lakewood police.
