LINCOLN, Neb.—Steve Harley scored 18 points to lead Nebraska, which held Arkansas-Pine Bluff to 12 points over 18 minutes, in Saturday’s 67-53 win.

Nebraska (3-0) trailed 19-11 after Savalance Townsend hit a jumper for Arkansas-Pine Bluff (0-4) with 10:20 left in the first half.

Then the Cornhuskers took control, holding the Golden Lions to just 5 points in the remainder of the period. Nebraska took the lead for good on Ryan Anderson’s jumper that brought the score to 24-22 with 4:37 left in the half.

Nebraska led by 8 at intermission and expanded that lead to 10 on Harley’s jumper a minute into the second half.

The Huskers went up 47-31 on Ade Dagunduro’s dunk with 12:23 remaining. Arkansas-Pine Bluff scored only 7 points in the first 8 minutes of the second half.

Nebraska’s biggest lead was 22.

Arkansas-Pine Bluff turned the ball over 23 times and committed 19 fouls.

Nebraska was 18 of 27 from the free-throw line, while the Golden Lions were 11 of 18.

Nebraska won despite shooting just 46 percent from the field and 30 percent from the 3-point line. Nebraska made just 5 of 17 3-point attempts.

But Arkansas-Pine Bluff was worse, putting up 22 3-pointers and hitting only two.

Joining Harley in double figures for Nebraska was Sek Henry, who had 14 points and 4 assists.

Lebaron Weathers had 12 points to lead Arkansas-Pine Bluff. Gavin Montgomery added 10 more for the Golden Lions.
