PUEBLO, Colo.—A suspect wanted in connection with the death of a man nearly a month after he was beaten has turned himself in to authorities in Pueblo.

Sgt. Eric Bravo says 23-year-old Julian Benito Archuleta surrendered peacefully on Wednesday.

Police had been looking for Archuleta in connection with a Nov. 15 robbery and beating of two brothers near a Pueblo intersection. Michael Vigil was hospitalized with multiple injuries and died Dec. 10.

His brother, Tony Vigil, was treated and released the day of the attack.

Officers on Tuesday arrested Archuleta’s girlfriend, 43-year-old Deborah Ann Duran, on a warrant for identity theft for allegedly using Tony Vigil’s food stamp card at a convenience store.

Duran and Archuleta are both jailed in Pueblo.
