LITTLETON — A Littleton man who foiled the theft of a stereo from his car was shot a short time later by the thieves in a drive- by, police said.
The victim, who was shot once in the shoulder, was treated at a local hospital and released.
Littleton police arrested two suspects early Tuesday: 27-year-old Lincoln Joshua Lucero and a juvenile who was not named.
The incident unfolded about 12:30 a.m. when the 38-year-old victim confronted two car-stereo thieves in the 6400 block of South Crocker Street, police said in a news release.
The suspects fled the scene but returned a few minutes later in a car and fired several shots at people in the front yard of the victim’s home, police said.
