GRANITE, Colo.—Two people have died in separate crashes in Colorado this weekend.
The State Patrol says one woman died after a sport utility vehicle rolled and ended up in the Arkansas River on U.S. 24, about a mile north of Granite on Saturday morning.
It wasn’t immediately clear how many people were in the SUV or what caused the crash.
On Friday, troopers say, 65-year-old Herbert E. Wagner of Keenesburg died when his southbound car collided with a northbound car on Weld County Road 65. He wasn’t wearing a seat belt.
Troopers say alcohol may have contributed to the crash.
The driver of the northbound car suffered serious injuries, and her passenger had minor injuries.
