ASPEN, Colo.—Air traffic has resumed at the Aspen/Pitkin County Airport after a small plane crashed into a snowbank while landing.

No injuries were reported.

Mike Fergus, spokesman for the Federal Aviation Administration’s northwest mountain region, says two people were aboard the single-engine, turboprop Piper airplane.

He says only the propeller of the plane owned by Boca Raton, Fla.-based Richbuilt Construction was damaged.

The crash occurred at about 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, shutting down the airport’s landing strip for about two hours. Several flights were canceled, including a Frontier Airlines flight to Denver.

The accident is under investigation.
