DENVER—Investigators say alcohol may have been a contributing factor in a one-vehicle crash on Interstate 76 that killed a Denver man.
The Colorado State Patrol says 26-year-old Jorge A. Martinez-Ruvalcaba of Denver was killed when the 1994 Buick Century he was driving eastbound drifted off the right shoulder at about 11:35 p.m. Thursday.
Trooper Gilbert Mares says the car missed a guard rail, then went airborne before crashing into a concrete overpass support column on York Street. The car burst into flames.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
