California’s woes could prove Colorado’s growth if a new economic development campaign pays off.
The Metro Denver Economic Development Corp. launched a broad marketing initiative this weekend to persuade California companies to expand in Colorado.
Ads ran Friday in the San Jose Mercury News, the Los Angeles Times and the San Diego Union-Tribune promoting the state. Earlier in the week, the group sent valentines to top executives at 500 California companies. The campaign also includes a plane with an 80-foot-long “Colorado Loves CA” banner that flew throughout metro Los Angeles on Friday, and a new website, .
