FORT COLLINS, Colo.—A Fort Collins developer and mortgage broker has been killed in a motor scooter accident.
Authorities say 52-year-old William Allen Yunker was killed Saturday when his scooter apparently drifted off the road not far from his house and struck large landscaping rocks.
The Larimer County coroner’s office says Yunker suffered lacerated kidneys, a fractured skull and other broken bones. Investigators found a helmet near the crash but weren’t sure whether Yunker was wearing it.
Yunker helped develop the Hearth Fire neighborhood in north Fort Collins and had recently restarted a mortgage business.
