Lakewood Police are searching for developmentally disabled woman who was last seen playing basketball today during a Colorado Special Olympics tournament.
Shirley Jean Chavez, 39, had just finished participating in a basketball game at the Gold Crown Field House at 150 S. Harlan St.in Lakewood when her caretakers noticed she was missing.
Chavez is described as being 5 feet, 2 inches tall, 187 pounds with shoulder length black hair.
She was last seen wearing a white Northglenn Eagles basketball jersey, a hooded and black Mickey Mouse sweatshirt, a black and silver ski jacket and black velour pants.
Anyone who sees Shirley Jean Chavez is asked to call the Lakewood Police immediately at 303-987-7111.
