COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Colorado Springs police have arrested the manager of a bank and another man suspected of robbing a US Bank.
Police say bank manager 48-year-old Evelyn Solano helped 48-year-old Michael Martinez plan the robbery in which he allegedly took an undisclosed amount of money Saturday. Police say the pair are in a relationship.
Witnesses told police a man dressed in black, with glasses and a fake beard walked into the bank saying he had a gun and demanding money. Police say he never displayed the gun.
Police say they later found the car witnesses told them was used in the robbery near an intersection. Police arrested Martinez nearby. Solano was arrested at the bank.
