LINCOLN, Neb.—Taylor Stormberg broke open the game by making 3 of his 4 3-pointers in the second quarter, and Omaha Creighton Prep defeated Lincoln Southeast 61-41 in the Class A semifinals Friday at the boys state tournament.

Stormberg’s outburst helped the Juniors Jay get out to a 26-16 halftime lead and advance to the championship game against Lincoln Southwest (23-2) on Saturday.

The Jays (21-5) will be playing for their first state title since 1994 and 11th overall.

Stormberg and Cole Martin led Prep with 12 points apiece, and Caleb Steffensmeier added 10.

Taylor Price scored 11 points for the Knights (19-6).
