Four people were arrested at about 10:20 p.m. Wednesday in connection with a break-in and vandalism over the weekend at Rocky Mountain Christian Church in Frederick.
Sgt. Gregg Lotspeich, spokesman for the Frederick Police Department, said investigators developed information about the four individuals plus the vehicle they were driving.
He said a traffic stop was made late last night with all the suspects in the car. They included three juveniles and one adult identified as 18-year-old Chad J. Morris.
Lotspeich said the suspects offered no resistance when stopped and were taken to the Frederick Police Department for questioning.
As a result, he said, the location of the missing church property was identified.
Detectives went to the location, where much of the stolen property, including two computers, was found, said Lotspeich.
Morris was arrested and booked at the Weld County Jail. He is being held for investigation of second-degree burglary, felony criminal mischief and possession of burglary tools.
The three juveniles — all boys — were released to the custody of their parents. Their names were not released. Cases against them and Morris have been presented to the Weld County district attorney’s office for review and the potential filing of charges, said Lotspeich.
The church’s congregation discovered the vandalism and burglary when they arrived for services Sunday.
