A woman died and two others were seriously injured in a collision between an sport utility vehicle and a van at West 44th Avenue and Federal Boulevard this morning.
The accident is still under investigation and details are sketchy, but it happened at about 8:52 a.m. when the Ford Explorer was traveling south on Federal. The SUV and a gold van collided in the intersection, said Denver police spokesman Sonny Jackson.
The van lost control and hit a wall adjacent to a house. One of the van’s passengers, an older woman, died at a hospital, Jackson said.
The man driving and another passenger are both in serious condition.
The driver of the SUV was not injured.
