BOULDER, Colo.—Boulder police say last week’s deaths of a divorced couple were the result of a murder-suicide in which the man shot his ex-wife before killing himself.
Police spokeswoman Sarah Huntley says 39-year-old Robert Bryant Oakley may have lured Katelin Rose Oakley to his home, where he shot her. The Boulder coroner said Monday the 30-year-old woman had been shot in the head. The coroner says Robert Oakley used a shotgun to kill himself.
Katelin Oakley was an attorney and was living in Golden.
The couple had two children, but police say they were not present when the shootings happened.
