Two Colorado airports will receive nearly $9.3 million in economic-recovery funds, Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood announced Wednesday.
Colorado Springs Municipal Airport will use $6.3 million to replace taxiway, and Durango- La Plata County Airport will use $3 million to replace apron areas where planes park, refuel and board passengers.
In March, it was announced that three other Colorado airports — Denver International, Centennial and Aspen/Pitkin — will receive more than $20 million through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
